Hope Edwards, 23, was rescued by police after getting stuck in snow while heading to work in Hanley
Hanley: So, there’s this pharmacy tech named Hope Edwards, right? She was on her way to work when she got stuck in the snow. It was a rough morning for her.
Hope was trying to get to her job on Hope Street but ended up stranded on Sampson Street around 8:30 AM. She wasn’t used to driving in snow and started to panic a bit.
She said it was just a crazy scene out there. Cars were going the wrong way, and she thought she’d be fine since the roads were clear most of the way. But then, bam! She got stuck.
Hope was feeling really stressed. The snow was deep, and the road wasn’t treated. She tried everything to get out, but nothing worked. It was a tough 15 minutes for her.
Then, out of nowhere, the police showed up. They asked if she was okay, and that’s when she just lost it. She told them she was struggling and worried about being late for work.
One of the officers, a woman, was super nice. She offered to drive Hope’s car while the other officer pushed it from behind. Together, they got her car up the hill and into the parking lot.
Hope couldn’t believe how great they were. She felt so relieved and grateful. She said they really calmed her down and helped her out when she needed it most.
Now she’s just hoping she can make it home later since the parking lot is still covered in snow. But she’s feeling a lot better now that she’s back at work.
