Cathy Goldie, a beloved Bathgate mum, passed away just days before Christmas, leaving her family and community heartbroken.
Bathgate: It’s such a sad time for everyone who knew Cathy Goldie. She passed away unexpectedly just before Christmas, and the news has hit the community hard.
Her family described her as a “beautiful character,” and it’s clear she made a big impact on those around her. Cathy’s sister, Margaret, expressed gratitude to the locals who tried to help before the paramedics arrived.
Margaret shared how Cathy was always the one to bring smiles to people’s faces. She was well-known in Bathgate, and it seems like everyone has a story about her.
Sadly, despite the efforts to save her, Cathy couldn’t be saved. She loved spending time with her family and was a regular at the Livery Lounge, where she was cherished by many.
The Livery Lounge shared their heartbreak on social media, calling her a “wonderful gem” and sending condolences to her family. They mentioned how much she will be missed.
To help with funeral costs, a fundraising page has been set up by her nephew, Taylor Goldie. So far, they’ve raised over £300, which is a great start.
On the fundraising page, Taylor expressed how difficult it was to ask for help but emphasized how much Cathy meant to everyone. She truly touched the lives of those around her.
If you’d like to contribute, you can find the fundraising page online. Every little bit helps during this tough time for her family.
