Halifax’s banking app is down, affecting hundreds of customers trying to access their accounts and make payments.
Halifax: The banking app is down, and many customers are frustrated. They can’t access their accounts or make payments.
Since around 5:30 AM today, complaints have flooded in. Over 400 users reported issues on Downdetector, a site that tracks service outages.
Most problems involve transferring funds. Some users also struggle with mobile and online banking. The outage seems to hit England the hardest, but there are reports from Glasgow and Edinburgh too.
Customers are voicing their frustrations on X, previously known as Twitter. One user asked why their bank transfer wasn’t received. Another expressed concern about missing a credit card payment.
Halifax has apologized for the inconvenience. A spokesperson said they are aware of the issues and are working to resolve them quickly.
Interestingly, Lloyds Bank is facing similar problems. They also have over 400 customers unable to make or receive payments.
Both banks are committed to fixing these issues and have promised to keep customers updated.
