Gwent: So, it looks like Gwent is in for a chilly week ahead. After all that wind and rain we had to kick off the new year, temperatures are really going to drop.

Places like Newport and Cwmbran could see it get as cold as -3°C. Brr! The Met Office even put out a Yellow Weather warning for New Year’s Day, just to give everyone a heads up.

A spokesperson mentioned that after the wild weather on Wednesday, we can expect clearer skies but much colder temps by the end of the week. They’re predicting some sharp frosts overnight, so bundle up!

Looking at the forecast, Thursday starts off at 3°C and drops to 0°C by the evening. Friday is even colder, starting at -2°C and hitting -3°C in the early hours. It’s going to be a frosty one!

Saturday and Sunday don’t look much better, with temperatures hovering around 1°C and a chance of rain and sleet. So, if you’re heading out, make sure to dress warmly!
