A peacock on a roof in Glasgow Milton had locals and emergency services in stitches
Glasgow: Residents in Milton had a wild night when a peacock decided to take a break on a roof. It was a sight that had everyone buzzing.
Colin William was just getting home from work when he spotted his neighbors gathered on Raasay Street. They were all pointing and laughing, saying there was a peacock on a roof. At first, he thought they were joking.
But then he saw it himself. “It was unbelievable,” he said. Apparently, a family nearby has four peacocks, and Colin had no idea after living there for five years.
The peacock had been hanging out on the roof for about six hours by the time Colin arrived. He decided to call the Fire Brigade and the Police, who couldn’t help but laugh at the unusual situation.
Colin stayed with the peacock’s owners as they tried to lure the bird down with some bread. He was a bit worried about the weather and how the peacock would handle it.
Eventually, they managed to coax the bird down the next morning. Colin even shared a video on TikTok, where locals were amazed by the size of the peacock, named Drew.
Comments on the video were hilarious, with one person asking who keeps a peacock as a pet in Milton. Another couldn’t believe it, and someone joked about how the Highlands have lynx while Milton has peacocks.
