A Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Rome had to divert to London due to a mid-air emergency, causing concern among passengers.
Glasgow: So, there was this Jet2 flight that took off from Glasgow Airport heading to Rome. But things took a turn when they had to make an emergency landing at London Stansted.
While flying, the plane sent out a squawk alert, which is basically a signal that something’s not right. It landed safely around 9 am, but it was a bit of a scare for everyone on board.
Apparently, the fuel gauge was acting up, showing lower levels than expected. A passenger mentioned that when they landed, a fire truck came to check things out, but thankfully, there was no fuel leak.
They were still on the runway when the captain said another plane was available to take them to Rome. Jet2 even sent out a message to passengers, apologizing for the diversion and assuring them they were doing everything possible to get them on their way.
It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when something like this happens, but it sounds like everyone handled it well. The Scottish Express has reached out to Jet2 for more details.
