Geraint Thomas surprises fans in Cardiff with free alcohol-free beers to promote Dry January
Cardiff: Geraint Thomas, the Welsh cycling star, has done something pretty cool. He left a bunch of free beers on the street for folks to enjoy.
Right next to his golden post box on Castle Street, there’s a stack of BrewDog’s alcohol-free beers. It’s a nice touch, especially since January is when many people try to go dry.
So, here’s the deal: if you swing by and say “G sent me,” you can grab a crate of those BrewDog beers. If you miss out, no worries! You can still get a free pint at BrewDog on Westgate Street, courtesy of Thomas.
He even posted on Facebook asking who’s up for a free beer in Cardiff. It’s all part of a fun collaboration with BrewDog to kick off 2025 on a balanced note.
Thomas shared that the beers would be available from midday, and he encouraged everyone to come by and claim theirs. The golden post box was painted back in 2012 to celebrate his Olympic gold medal win, and it’s now a spot for this fun giveaway.
So, if you’re in Cardiff, don’t miss out on this chance to grab some free drinks!
