Oscar Hartland discusses his future in acting and music after the show’s finale
Southampton: So, Oscar Hartland, the kid who played Neil the Baby on Gavin & Stacey, just shared what he’s up to next. After the last episode aired on Christmas Day, he’s got some exciting plans.
He was on ITV’s Lorraine chatting about his future. Oscar, now 15, has been playing Neil since 2008. He even showed off his singing chops by performing Blackbird during the finale. Pretty cool, right?
When asked about his next steps, he said he’s open to both acting and music. He’s been writing songs every night and is eager to explore new roles in movies and TV. Sounds like he’s got a lot on his plate!
Oscar expressed his gratitude to Ruth Jones and James Corden for giving him such a great opportunity. He feels lucky to have had the chance to showcase his talents on such a beloved show.
The finale had everyone buzzing, especially with the wedding plot twist. Fans were surprised to find out it wasn’t the wedding they expected. Instead, it was between Smithy and his girlfriend Sonia, which left some viewers a bit disappointed.
But the episode wrapped up with a sweet montage of Nessa and Smithy finally getting their happy ending. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, for sure!
