The funeral for Zacharias “Puddy” Atkinson, who tragically died at the docks, is scheduled for January 20 at St Anne’s Church in Liverpool
Bootle: Zacharias “Puddy” Atkinson was remembered as a “beautiful boy” who truly loved life. His family shared how he lived every moment to the fullest.
Sadly, Puddy passed away after a tragic incident at Langton Dock on December 11. His family is heartbroken, saying nobody should go to work and not come home.
His funeral is set for January 20 at St Anne’s Church in Old Swan, starting at 11am. Afterward, there will be a service at Anfield Crematorium, followed by a gathering at the Isla Gladstone Conservatory.
Glentrees Funeral Service expressed their sadness in announcing Puddy’s passing. They described him as a charming and funny young man who was taken too soon.
Puddy’s friends have started a GoFundMe to help cover funeral costs. They want to give him the send-off he deserves, as he was a true Liverpudlian and a devoted Liverpool FC fan.
As of January 2, the fundraiser had raised over £13,500, showing how much he was loved. A joint investigation into the incident is ongoing with the Health and Safety Executive.
