Norwich: Daz Crawford has had quite the ride in his career. He started off as a Royal Air Force member, then found himself in the world of stripping. A friend nudged him to audition for Gladiators, and he ended up becoming Diesel, one of the show’s stars.

He wasn’t too keen on the idea at first, thinking it was all fake. But once he got into it, he loved the thrill. The show was a hit, pulling in huge crowds, and he even traveled around giving talks to kids.

Crawford’s journey didn’t stop there. A fellow Gladiator got him a role in a James Bond film, which opened more doors for him in acting. He landed parts in various shows and movies, including Blade 2, where he teamed up with Wesley Snipes.

Now, he’s got a bunch of credits to his name, including some big CGI roles. He’s even done motion capture for popular video games. These days, he’s back in Norwich, running a lap-dancing club called Sugar and Spice.

He’s proud of his club, aiming to change the stigma around such venues. He wants it to be a fun, inclusive space for everyone. Looking back, he’s grateful for his Gladiator days and is excited to see the show make a comeback. It’s all about creating new heroes for the next generation.
