Macaulay Culkin reflects on fame, family, and past struggles with drugs
Oklahoma City: You know Macaulay Culkin, right? The kid from Home Alone? He was just a little guy when he became a huge star. Everyone remembers him as Kevin McCallister, right? That movie is a holiday classic!
He was just ten when he shot to fame, and he kept acting for a while. But by 14, he wanted a break from it all. He went to a private school in Manhattan, trying to live a normal life. It wasn’t long before he returned to acting, though, popping up in shows like American Horror Story.
He got married young, too. Macaulay tied the knot with Rachel Miner when they were both 18, but that didn’t last long. They split up just a couple of years later. After that, he dated Mila Kunis for a bit before meeting Brenda Song in 2017. They hit it off on the set of Changeland.
Fast forward to now, and they have two kids together. Their first child, Dakota, was born in April 2021, named after Macaulay’s late sister. It’s a sweet tribute. They got engaged in January 2022, and in March 2023, his brother confirmed they welcomed another baby.
As for his finances, Macaulay revealed he didn’t even know how wealthy he was until he turned 18. He called it the “Slip of Paper” moment when he finally saw the numbers. He joked that it felt like he inherited someone else’s hard work.
Now, at 44, he’s had his share of ups and downs. Remember when he “divorced” his parents? He took their names off his trust fund to keep things clean. He said it was just a way to manage his finances better, but the media spun it into a wild story.
He’s had some tough moments, too. Back in 2004, he was arrested for possession of marijuana and some other substances. He spent a little time in jail but was out on bail pretty quickly. He later said he wasn’t addicted, just caught up in a weird situation.
Through it all, Macaulay seems to have come out on top. He’s got a loving family, a nice home, and a good sense of humor about his past. It’s great to see him happy and thriving after all these years!
