Edinburgh: A resident was pretty freaked out after spotting a man in her garden on her doorbell camera. This happened around 9:30 PM on January 3, right on Restalrig Road.

She noticed him trying to mess with her clothesline before he went and broke her bird feeder. Other neighbors mentioned that this same guy had been seen lurking around other homes too.

Lorraine, who shared the video with Edinburgh Live, said, “He tried to break our clothesline and then burst the bird feeder for no reason.”

One of her neighbors, a young woman, even said he tried to get into her flat, and she had to push him out the door. Can you believe that?

Just last month, another resident caught someone stealing a Christmas wreath from a home. That was also on doorbell footage in The Calders. The thief was seen checking out the wreath before snatching it and running off.

Stephanie, who witnessed that theft, said the woman had some serious nerve to take a £20 wreath from Tesco right in front of a camera. It’s just sad when people resort to stealing something so small.

Police Scotland has been contacted for more information on these incidents.
