Hull: A road in east Hull will close for up to four weeks. This is to install speed bumps. The work starts on February 10.

Summergangs Road, near Swinburne Street and James Reckitt Avenue, will be affected. Two speed bumps will be added, and the project should finish by March 7.

To help residents, the work will happen in two phases. Each phase will last two weeks. This way, there will still be on-street parking available.

A diversion will be set up along Holderness Road, Ings Road, and James Reckitt Avenue. This will help manage traffic during the closure.

Hull City Council has hired MB Roche & Sons Limited for the job. They aim to complete the work efficiently.

Cllr Mark Ieronimo, in charge of transportation, acknowledged the disruption. He thanked residents for their patience during this time.

He also mentioned that splitting the work into phases will help reduce inconvenience. The council is committed to making the roads safer for everyone.
