Truro: So, here’s the scoop. The A30 is going to have some overnight closures soon. National Highways is doing some work on the new Chiverton junction, and it’s going to last for about two weeks.

If you’re driving on weeknights, you’ll need to find another route. The Chiverton gyratory and all its slip roads will be closed from 8 PM to 6 AM.

These closures kick off on Tuesday, January 14, and run until Friday, January 17. Then they’ll happen again from Monday, January 20, to Friday, January 24. Cornwall Council is saying there will be diversion routes to help you get to Truro and other places.

Don’t worry, though. Through traffic on the A30 dual carriageway won’t be affected. Just make sure to plan ahead and give yourself some extra time for your trips.

According to the National Highways website, both the eastbound and westbound Chiverton exit slip roads will be closed for the Chiverton to Carland improvement scheme.

If you’re heading east, you’ll need to exit at Chybucca, take the B3284, and then hop onto the A3075. For those going west, exit at Scorrier, use the A3047, Wheat Busy Loop, and then the B3277.
