Llanellan: So, there’s this cool new spot in Llanellan! A former village shop just got a fresh start thanks to Richard Lewis, who used to be in the wine business.

He opened Hare and Moon Provisions right before Christmas, which is pretty exciting. The place is located in Ty Llew House, a two-story building that used to be a convenience store and even the village Post Office.

Richard had to get some planning permission from Monmouthshire County Council to change things up a bit. He wanted to add a café to the shop, and they gave him the green light in early December.

Just over a week later, he was ready to welcome customers. Richard mentioned that business has been going well, especially with the festive vibe around the holidays.

He chose Llanellan because of its stunning scenery and noticed there was a gap in the village for a shop and café. His goal is to connect with the locals and maybe even draw in visitors from nearby areas.
