Pete Riding has made a big move from Hull FC to Hull KR, taking on a new role in youth recruitment. Exciting times ahead!
Hull: Pete Riding is making waves in the rugby scene. He’s just switched from Hull FC to Hull KR, taking on a new gig as Head of Pathways Recruitment. Pretty cool, right?
Riding spent two and a half years at Hull FC, where he really helped boost their youth programs. Under his watch, the academy finished in the top four for three seasons straight. Plus, a bunch of young players made it to the first team. That’s no small feat!
He left Hull FC last July after a mutual agreement, as the club was going through some big changes. Richard Tate stepped in to fill his shoes, while Francis Cummins took charge of the academy and reserves.
Now, Riding is joining Hull KR, where he’ll work with their youth system. They’ve got some exciting plans, including a new 4G pitch at Craven Park. It’s a great space for all the teams to train together.
With over 20 years in the game, Riding has been around the block, working with several Super League clubs. His experience in youth development will surely be a game-changer for Hull KR.
