Birmingham: A tragic incident unfolded when a 12-year-old boy was fatally stabbed just a short walk from his school. The boy, known locally as Leo Ross, was attacked near Scribers Lane in Hall Green on a Tuesday afternoon.

He was a student at Christ Church C of E Secondary School and was found injured around 3 PM, right when school was letting out. A 14-year-old boy was arrested later that day on suspicion of murder.

This teenager is also being questioned about a separate incident involving an elderly woman just days before. In the wake of Leo’s death, the community has come together, leaving flowers and heartfelt messages at the scene.

One note read, “We miss you Leo. Everybody does! We hope you find peace.” Another said, “Rest in peace Leo Ross. You were loved by so many people.”

People are really feeling the loss, with many promising to seek justice for him. Chief Superintendent Richard North described the scene as “incredibly distressing” for the officers involved.

The school has opened as usual, offering support to students and staff while expressing their condolences to Leo’s family. It’s a tough time for everyone, and the community is rallying together to remember a young life taken too soon.
