First Bus has announced limited services in Stoke-on-Trent due to heavy snowfall affecting routes and causing delays
Stoke-on-Trent: So, First Bus has had to tell folks that they’re only running on main roads because of all the snow causing chaos. Apparently, some buses got stuck on Beverley Drive in Bentilee, which isn’t great.
And it’s not just that. There’s also a bus that broke down on Biddulph Road in Chell. First Bus is now saying they can only use certain routes in North Staffordshire to keep things moving.
They posted on social media, letting everyone know that due to the overnight snowfall, their buses will stick to the main roads only. Their website also mentioned that services are really disrupted because of the snow.
On top of that, the A53 Buxton Road is completely blocked between Thorncliffe and Ladmanlow, and there’s flooding on the A522 in Beamhurst. Plus, there are about 20 lorries stuck on the A53 near Loggerheads. Yikes!
This morning, there have been huge delays all over Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle, and the Moorlands. But by 9:15 am, it seems the snow had cleared a bit on Beverley Drive. Fingers crossed it gets better!
