Ebbw Vale RFC’s Morgan Richards was arrested during warmup, leaving fans stunned as the investigation unfolds
Ebbw Vale: So, you won’t believe what just happened at the rugby match! Morgan Richards, a player for Ebbw Vale RFC, got arrested during the warmup. Can you imagine the shock on everyone’s faces?
This all went down during their away game against Pontypool RFC on December 21, 2024. Fans were just getting into the spirit of the game when they saw Morgan being taken away by the police. It was wild!
The match was part of the new Super Rygbi Cymru competition that kicked off in September 2024. Morgan, who’s played 43 times for the Steelmen, is now caught up in a harassment investigation.
Gwent Police confirmed that they arrested a 23-year-old man from Caldicot, and he was later released on conditional bail. They’re still looking into the matter, so it’s not over yet.
Ebbw Vale RFC hasn’t said much about it, which is probably for the best. Everyone’s just trying to wrap their heads around what happened.
