A family in Wigan discovers their home devastated by flooding after being woken by loud banging early in the morning
Wigan: It was a rough start to the New Year for a family in Wigan. They were jolted awake at 6:30 AM by loud banging on their door. Turns out, their car was underwater!
Michael Abram, 46, and his family were in shock. Firefighters came to the rescue, taking them by boat to a nearby McDonald’s. Sadly, their home was a total mess. Everything on the ground floor was ruined.
Michael was especially grateful that the firefighters saved the urns with his parents’ ashes. He couldn’t believe how high the water had risen. It was a nightmare.
