The family of Veronica Crawford remembers their beloved mum, who passed away tragically close to her home, celebrating her vibrant spirit and legacy.
Sheffield: The family of Veronica Crawford is heartbroken after she was found dead just three metres from her front door. They’re remembering her as a true gem in their community.
Veronica, who was 61, passed away on New Year’s Day, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Her family describes her as a vibrant soul who always brought joy to those around her.
According to South Yorkshire Police, they don’t suspect foul play in her death. Her eldest daughter, Kyla, shared how much Veronica meant to everyone, highlighting her warmth and resilience.
Veronica was a devoted mother to Kyla, Michaela, and Curtis, and a loving grandmother to Aaliyah and Macey. Family was everything to her, and she always wanted the best for them.
She had a great sense of style and loved fashion, often seen in outfits that matched her lively personality. Shopping was one of her joys, especially when it came to finding beautiful things.
Music was another passion of hers. She loved everything from Reggae to 80s hits, and her taste inspired her kids. You could often find her lost in her tunes, enjoying every beat.
Veronica was known for her infectious laughter and positive spirit. Even during tough times, she could light up a room with her smile. Her love for EastEnders and the little joys in life made her special.
Despite battling bipolar disorder, she faced life’s challenges with grace. Her strength was an inspiration to her family, who admired her ability to find joy in the smallest things.
In recent years, she worked hard to rebuild her life, showing incredible courage. Her community knew her well, and she was loved by everyone for her gentle nature and generosity.
Sadly, her passing comes just months after losing her husband, Roger. Her family finds comfort in knowing they’re together again. Veronica’s legacy of love and laughter will always be remembered.
To help with funeral costs, a GoFundMe page has been set up. The funds will go towards giving her a proper farewell and a memorial in Sheffield where she’ll be laid to rest with Roger.
Thank you to everyone for their support during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Veronica. You will be missed and cherished forever.
