January saw a surge in serious crimes, with 30 criminals sentenced, including twin killers and a predatory sex offender
Hull: In January, a shocking case involved identical twins. They killed a man in his home over a drug argument. This was just one of many serious cases in court.
Other criminals jailed included a serial sex offender. He targeted four women. A couple, labeled as “monsters,” raped a young girl while filming the abuse.
A reckless driver caused horrific injuries to a woman crossing the road. He plowed into her in the early hours.
Also sentenced were a cruel wife who stabbed her husband. A bully assaulted his disabled grandmother. A robber tricked an 87-year-old widow in her home.
More cases included rioters and a pervert who thought he was chatting with a 12-year-old girl online. There were also cannabis factory gardeners and a masked robber who targeted a 77-year-old woman.
These cases made January particularly busy at Hull Crown Court. Two cases were sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court.
