A chaotic scene unfolded in Southport as a child killer was removed from court after shouting during his sentencing hearing
Southport: It was quite a scene in court when Axel Rudakubana, the man who killed three young girls, was removed after he started shouting. This all happened during his sentencing for a horrific attack at a Taylor Swift-themed party.
Rudakubana, just 18, was accused of a planned knife attack that tragically took the lives of Alice, Bebe, and Elsie. The incident occurred at The Hart Space, a small venue, on July 29.
When he entered the dock at Liverpool Crown Court, he was already causing a stir. The judge had to ask him to leave because he wouldn’t stop yelling. He looked pretty distressed, sitting there in a grey tracksuit and a mask, with his head down.
Even when asked to confirm his name, he didn’t respond. The judge had to call for him to be removed after he kept shouting about needing medical help. It was a tense moment, and someone in the public gallery even called him a coward.
Despite his claims of being unwell, paramedics had already checked him out and deemed him fit for sentencing. His lawyer mentioned that he hadn’t eaten much and was feeling chest pains, but the judge decided to continue with the proceedings.
As the court described the tragic events of that day, family members of the victims were visibly upset, with many in tears. It was a heartbreaking reminder of the pain caused by this senseless act.
