Great news! An extra €1,144 social welfare payment is up for grabs for those who qualify. Let’s see who can benefit from this.
Galway: If you’re living alone, there’s a chance to snag an extra €1,144 a year through a social welfare payment. This is called the Living Alone Increase, and it’s a nice little boost for those who qualify.
So, who can get this? If you’re 66 or older and live alone, you might be eligible if you’re receiving certain pensions. This includes the State Pension, Widow’s Pension, and a few others.
But don’t worry if you’re under 66! You can still qualify if you’re getting the Disability Allowance or Invalidity Pension. Just remember, you need to be living completely alone to claim it, though there are some exceptions.
To get started, you’ll need to fill out an application form for the Living Alone Increase. Once you’ve got that done, send it to the right section of the Department of Social Protection. If you have any questions, your local Intreo Centre or Social Welfare Branch Office can help you out.
It’s a great opportunity to get some extra support, so if you think you might qualify, don’t hesitate to check it out!
