Explore unique distillery experiences and hands-on workshops this weekend near Newport
Newport: Figuring out weekend plans can be tricky, right? Especially when you want to mix things up and try something new.
This weekend, there’s a little bit of everything. Whether you’re into drinks, hands-on workshops, or live music, you’re covered.
First up, if you’re a fan of cocktails, check out the Ultimate Bloody Mary Experience at Silver Circle Distillery in Monmouth. It’s happening on Saturday from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
They’re serving up a unique Bloody Mary made with their own Black Garlic Vodka, all in a fun soup can. It’s a spicy twist that’s perfect for brunch.
During the experience, you’ll learn about the drink’s history and culture. Plus, you’ll get to taste four different mini Bloody Marys, including some cool variations like The Caesar and The Michelada.
And the best part? You’ll get to make your own Bloody Mary, picking from a bunch of vodkas, hot sauces, and garnishes. Who can make the tallest garnish tower? You can even take your drink home if you’re driving!
If you’re more into gardening, there’s a pruning workshop at Highfield Farm in Usk from 10 am to 1 pm. It’s a great chance to learn about caring for fruit trees and more.
Led by Dean Peckett, a pro with 20 years of experience, this workshop costs £35 and includes refreshments and a handy leaflet to take home.
