Harwich: So, three guys just got sent down for a total of 12 years after pulling off some wild burglaries. They actually used a JCB forklift to smash into a Home Bargains store and steal a cash machine. Can you believe that?

These blokes, Shane Hadderton, Marvin Usher, and Deividas Fiodorovas, were caught after a string of break-ins around Essex and Hertfordshire. They were arrested back in May 2024, but the crimes happened earlier that April.

One of the homes they hit in Harwich was wrecked when they broke in through the back door. They made off with a bunch of cash, tools, and even a couple of vehicles. Just a few days later, they nabbed a pick-up truck from another place in Little Horsley.

Then, on April 7, they stole a JCB forklift from a nearby property. A couple of days later, they used it to ram into Home Bargains at around 2 AM, ripping the cash machine right off the wall. They loaded it into a truck and took off.

Later, the cash machine was found dumped at a golf club, still holding £55,000! They also hit another home in Walton, stealing over £20,000 worth of jewelry while the owner was out for just 25 minutes.

Things got even crazier on April 24 when they broke into a home in Royston, holding one of the victims in the bathroom while they stole valuables worth over £120,000. Talk about terrifying!

When they finally got caught, they faced multiple charges. Fiodorovas admitted to everything, while Hadderton and Usher tried to downplay their roles. In the end, they were sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court on January 2.

Detective Inspector Frazer Low said this was a well-planned series of crimes that deserved serious time. He emphasized how the impact on the victims goes way beyond just the stolen items. It’s a relief to see these guys off the streets, and hopefully, the victims can start to heal from this nightmare.
