Antalya: A young man from Essex tragically fell from a hotel balcony while on holiday in Turkey. Antony Maxwell, just 21, was enjoying a trip with his girlfriend when the accident happened.

Known as Tony to his friends, he was staying on the fifth floor of the Kahya Resort Aqua and Spa Hotel. It seems he was having a cigarette when he lost his balance and fell.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, Tony sadly passed away on April 18, 2024. An inquest led by Area Coroner Michelle Brown confirmed that his death was accidental.

The coroner noted that he suffered fatal injuries from the fall, compounded by alcohol intoxication. It’s a heartbreaking situation for his family and friends.

A fundraising page was set up after his passing, raising over £6,000. A touching tribute described Tony as an incredible young man who loved fishing and was cherished by all who knew him.

His family expressed their shock and gratitude for the support they received during this difficult time. It’s clear that Tony will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
