Llandudno Junction: Early Tuesday morning, fire crews rushed to an Asda store after a major fire broke out. They got the call just after 1am.

At the height of the situation, six fire crews and an aerial ladder platform were on the scene battling the flames. Thankfully, the fire is now out, but crews are still hanging around to ensure everything is safe.

By Tuesday morning, the area was cordoned off, with both the Asda and the nearby Iceland store taped off for safety. You could still smell the smoke lingering in the air.

A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service mentioned they were alerted to the fire at 1:08am. The teams that responded included two from Llandudno, two from Colwyn Bay, and one each from Conwy and Abergele.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The fire was under control by 3:37am, about two and a half hours after the first call came in.

Investigators believe the cause of the fire was accidental, and they’re still on-site this morning to look into it further. If you want to stay updated, you can join our WhatsApp news community for the latest breaking news.
