Authorities are investigating the discovery of an elderly woman’s body in a canal and are asking for public assistance.
Brighouse: This morning, police found a woman’s body in a canal. It’s a sad situation, and they’re looking into what happened.
Emergency services, including the fire and ambulance teams, were called to the scene after someone spotted the body. They pulled the woman, who was in her 70s, from the water around 9 AM.
A police spokesperson mentioned they’re trying to gather more information. They want to hear from anyone who might have seen the woman fall into the canal near Atlas Mill Road.
Detective Inspector Jenny Haigh said they’ve identified the woman and informed her family about this tragic news. While they don’t suspect foul play, they’re urging anyone with information to step forward.
