An 18-year-old man was seriously injured in a targeted attack near Portobello’s seaside promenade on Friday evening
Edinburgh: An 18-year-old guy got seriously hurt after an attack near the seaside on Friday night. It all went down around 6:40 PM on Bath Street in Portobello.
Emergency services rushed in, and he was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Thankfully, his injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
Police are on the case, trying to track down three men who were involved. Two of them are tall and slim, dressed in dark clothes and black balaclavas, riding dark e-bikes. The third guy is stocky with blonde hair.
Detective Inspector Dougal Begg mentioned they’re still piecing together what happened and that there will be a police presence in the area for a while.
He believes this was a targeted attack and is asking anyone who was around at the time to reach out if they have any info. If you’ve got dash-cam or CCTV footage, they’d love to see it.
