Edinburgh: A tragic incident occurred when an 87-year-old woman was hit by a car on a busy road. She was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh but sadly passed away a few days later.

The collision happened on December 30 around 5:45 PM on St John’s Road. It involved a black Ford Fiesta, and the area was closed off for investigations. The road reopened early the next morning.

Sergeant Paul Ewing expressed condolences to the woman’s family, who are understandably asking for privacy during this tough time. The police are still looking into what happened and want to hear from anyone who might have information.

If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage, they’d love to see it. Anyone with details can reach out to the police by calling 101 and mentioning the incident number.
