An Edinburgh man was devastated to find his bike stolen after returning from vacation, prompting a search for help from locals.
Edinburgh: So, this guy Jack Campbell comes back from his holiday and finds his bike missing. Can you believe it? He had parked it in a secure underground spot, and someone cut the lock!
Jack got back to his flat on January 6 and was shocked to see his bike gone. After he posted about it online, someone told him they saw two guys wheeling it away on Saturday afternoon. What a bummer!
He reached out to QPark QuarterMile, where he had locked up his bike. They showed him the CCTV footage, and it turns out they caught the thieves in action. Now, Jack’s hoping locals can help him track it down.
He mentioned that the bike has some unique features, like the straight “Prime” race bars and black/gold bar tape. So, if anyone spots it, they’ll know it’s his.
Jack said, “I found the bike missing and the lock cut through on Monday morning after being on holiday.” He’s really hoping someone can help him get it back.
Police Scotland has been contacted about the theft, and Jack is urging anyone who might have seen the bike to reach out. It’s a tough situation, but he’s staying hopeful!
