Edinburgh: Emergency services have rushed to the Omni Centre for an ongoing situation. Police, fire crews, and ambulances are all on the scene at Greenside Place.

If you’re heading to the city center, be prepared for some delays. They’ve closed off roads on Leith Street and around Picardy Place.

It seems the incident is linked to a medical issue. Edinburgh Trams have warned folks traveling to the airport that there will be some disruptions.

They initially posted on X that trams heading to the airport were halted due to the emergency. Later, they updated that emergency vehicles have cleared out, but trams are still running with longer wait times.

Lothian Buses also chimed in, letting travelers know to expect diversions around Leith Street. They mentioned that due to the road closure, buses can’t serve Leith Street and are being rerouted via Montrose Terrace and Waterloo Place for now.

The number one, four, five, 19, 34, and 45 bus routes are affected. Police Scotland, along with the ambulance and fire services, have been contacted for more details.
