Rob Love, a 62-year-old Edinburgh father, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in England, leaving behind a loving family.
Westbury: It’s such a sad story. Rob Love, a 62-year-old dad from Edinburgh, lost his life in a motorcycle crash in England. He was riding his Yamaha when he collided with a Volkswagen on December 17, 2024. Just heartbreaking.
Rob had a rich life. He grew up in Edinburgh after being born to military parents in England. He joined the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in 1980 and served for 13 years, including during the Gulf War. He later moved to Warminster, where he met his wife, Sue, in 1987. They had 37 wonderful years together.
His family is devastated. They shared that Rob was a devoted husband, father, and grandad to his three grandkids. He loved spending time with them and was always there for his son Stuart and stepchildren Antony and Richard.
Rob and Sue settled in Westbury for over 30 years. He enjoyed walking his dogs and had a close-knit group of neighbors, especially during the pandemic. He was also a passionate scooter rider and loved being part of the local biking community.
His family’s tribute was touching, saying he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. It’s a tough loss for them, and they’ll always remember him fondly.
