A chef in Edinburgh has been sentenced to 12 years for a brutal attack on a woman, including multiple violent offenses over several years
Edinburgh: A chef named Scott Wilson has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for a horrific attack on a woman. This guy really crossed the line, breaking into a bathroom with a knife and assaulting her.
Wilson, 33, was found guilty of several serious charges, including rape and domestic abuse. The court heard that his abusive behavior went on for years, starting with name-calling and nasty messages before escalating to physical violence.
One of the most shocking incidents involved him forcing his way into a bathroom while armed and holding the woman against her will. It was a terrifying experience for her, and thankfully, she found the courage to report it.
He was also found guilty of other violent sexual offenses, including raping her while she was asleep. On top of that, he had been caught with cocaine multiple times over the past few years.
Now, Wilson is on the sex offenders register indefinitely and has a non-harassment order against him, meaning he can’t contact the victim at all. The Procurator Fiscal made it clear that this kind of behavior is unacceptable in Scotland.
Police Scotland praised the victim for her bravery in coming forward, emphasizing that they take these crimes very seriously. They encourage anyone who has experienced similar abuse to speak up and seek help.
