Dylan’s is opening its fifth restaurant in North Wales, this time in Barmouth, creating new jobs and boosting local suppliers.
Barmouth: Dylan’s is opening its fifth restaurant in North Wales. The first one started in Menai Bridge back in 2012 and was an instant hit.
After that, they opened spots in Criccieth, Llandudno, and Conwy. The Conwy location opened in summer 2023. Now, they’re ready to launch their fifth eatery.
Dylan’s Barmouth will open this spring at Llanaber, just outside the town. They’re taking over the Norbar restaurant, which has amazing sea views and plenty of indoor dining space, plus a covered terrace and bar.
Renovations will add more windows to enhance those stunning coastline views. David Evans, co-owner of Dylan’s, shared that it felt like Barmouth found them. The previous owners made them feel right at home.
He mentioned the building’s charm, its location, and the incredible sunsets were too good to pass up. They want to build on the legacy of this special place.
This new restaurant will create 24 jobs. Dylan’s also expects to increase spending on local suppliers by 20%.
Andy Foster, managing director at Dylan’s, expressed excitement about the growth opportunities this new location brings. They can’t wait to welcome visitors in April.
After a brief refurbishment of the former Norbar site, it will reopen under Dylan’s in the spring. They also plan to open a Baked Goods & General Store in Barmouth later this season.
Robin Hodgson, co-owner and director, said they’re excited to open their third Baked Goods & General Store in Barmouth this May. It will offer fresh breads, cakes, and a variety of local Welsh products.
