Dwr Cymru says water is back on, but many locals are still without it
Dolgarrog: So, Dwr Cymru, or Welsh Water, announced that all water supplies are back on. But hold on, some folks are saying that’s not the case. They’re still waiting for their taps to flow.
After a big mains burst at the Bryn Cowlyd Water Treatment Works, engineers have been working non-stop to fix things. It’s been a real challenge for many homes and businesses.
A spokesperson from Welsh Water said everything is back to normal now. They mentioned that schools affected by the water shortage are back up and running, and they’re still providing alternative water supplies.
But then, people took to social media to voice their frustrations. One person pointed out that not all areas have water yet. Another chimed in about Glan Conwy still being dry.
And it doesn’t stop there. Someone else asked for updates on West End in Colwyn Bay, saying they’re still having issues. It seems like there’s a lot of confusion out there.
According to the Conwy County Borough website, seven schools were closed today due to the water shortage. That’s a big deal, especially for families trying to get their kids to school.
There are still water battle stations open in various locations, so people can grab some water if they need it. Dwr Cymru has been asked for more info, but it looks like the situation is still a bit messy.
