Motorists in Dublin face delays on major routes due to weather warnings and advised to drive carefully
Dublin: There are some serious delays on the motorways leading into Dublin today. The M50 is particularly slow, especially between Junction 5 and Junction 7.
Also, the M3 South, M4 East, and M7 East are all feeling the pinch as traffic builds up. It’s a bit of a mess out there.
Drivers are being told to take it easy this morning. There are two weather warnings in effect, including a Status Yellow for snow and ice, which lasts until midday Tuesday.
Met Eireann is saying we might see more wintry showers, which could make driving even trickier. So, keep an eye out for poor visibility and slippery roads.
There’s also a yellow warning for low temperatures and ice that’s in place until midnight Friday. This could lead to hazardous conditions both on the roads and underfoot.
