A man was jailed after being caught on CCTV driving dangerously while drunk in Peterborough
Peterborough: So, there was this guy, Mihal Taclit, who really messed up. He was caught on camera doing donuts in the snow with a couple of passengers in his van. And guess what? He was drunk, over double the legal limit!
This all went down early on a Sunday morning in a car park. Not only was he driving like a maniac, but he also had an expired provisional license and no insurance. Talk about a recipe for disaster!
When the cops checked his van, they found one passenger in the front seat and another just chilling in the cargo area. No seatbelts, no safety—just a bad idea all around.
He ended up in court and pleaded guilty to a bunch of charges, including drink driving and dangerous driving. The judge wasn’t having any of it and sentenced him to 36 weeks in jail, plus a five-year driving ban.
PC Sam Shepherd from the Road Policing Unit made it clear that this kind of reckless behavior won’t be tolerated. It’s a serious issue, and thankfully, the court took it seriously too.
