A man assaulted his partner with a glass during a birthday argument, leaving her injured and prompting a court case.
Nottingham: So, there was this wild incident on a guy’s birthday. Delroy Marshall, 54, got into a heated argument with his on-off partner. Things escalated when she poured a drink on him, and he retaliated by hitting her with a pint glass. Ouch!
The court heard that this all went down at her flat. They had been celebrating, but the mood soured when they started bickering. The woman even tossed some stale sandwiches out the window, which didn’t sit well with Delroy.
After the drink was poured, he struck her on the head with the glass, leaving her with a nasty cut. The police were called, and he was arrested. He’s got a bit of a record too, with previous assaults against the same woman.
In court, the judge gave him a suspended sentence and told him to stay away from her. He’s also got to attend some mental health sessions. It’s a tough situation, and it sounds like both of them have a lot to work through.
