Stoke-on-Trent: Drivers are being told to avoid a popular shortcut after some cars ended up in a ditch. With the cold weather and icy conditions, Redhills Road has become pretty treacherous.

This narrow road connects Birches Head and Sneyd Green, and it’s often used by folks trying to skip the traffic at Milton lights. But during last night’s rush hour, things got messy, and people took to social media to warn others.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple vehicles stuck in the ditch. Local councillor Laura Carter has been hearing from concerned residents about the situation.

She posted on Facebook, advising everyone to steer clear of Redhills Road. She mentioned the black ice and how many cars lost control yesterday.

Laura suggested finding another route through Milton, Sneyd Green, or Birches Head. She just wants everyone to drive safely out there.
