Tenby: So, there was this couple out walking their dog when they got stuck on some rocks because the tide came in. It all went down yesterday afternoon, and it turned into quite the rescue mission.

The RNLI lifeboat, coastguards, and even a helicopter showed up to help. They had to be super careful because the waves were crashing and there was a risk of falling rocks.

The lifeboat launched just before 1 PM and found the trio near East Rock House. But getting to them from the sea was too risky, so they had to wait for the helicopter.

Coastguards ended up doing a rope rescue. The team was on the scene quickly, and one of the lifeboat crew members suited up in a drysuit since the waves were getting pretty close.

They reassured the couple and their dog, checking to make sure everyone was okay before moving them to a safer spot away from the waves.

When the helicopter arrived, they couldn’t winch them up because of the strong winds and the risk of rocks falling. So, they decided to do a rope rescue instead.

They carefully brought the couple and their dog across the rocks to a safer area where they could use some steps to get to a garden above. Once they were safe, all the rescue teams could finally stand down and head back.
