Gwynedd: So, there was this couple who went out for a walk with their dog on Eryri mountain. They thought they could handle it, but things took a turn when they got lost in the deep snow.

It was getting dark, and they didn’t have any head torches or much battery left on their phones. They made the smart choice to call for help. The South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team jumped into action.

They got the call around 2:35 PM and quickly headed to Carnedd y Filiast. The team guided the walkers over the phone until they met up. Thankfully, everyone, including the dog, was safe and sound.

After the rescue, the team reminded everyone to pack properly for hikes, especially in winter. It’s super important to have the right gear, even if you think you won’t need it.

And if you ever feel like you’re in danger out there, don’t hesitate to call for mountain rescue. They’re always ready to help!
