A dog was saved from a serious house fire in Cambridgeshire, but the cause is still a mystery
Peterborough: A dog was rescued from a significant house fire on December 31. The fire broke out in a home in Orton Brimbles, and the cause is still unclear.
Fire crews from Stanground, Dogsthorpe, and the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade rushed to the scene around 10:27 PM. They found the ground floor ablaze after a shed fire spread to the house.
According to a fire service spokesperson, the dog was saved, and thankfully, there were no injuries. They mentioned that while the fire was accidental, the exact cause remains a bit of a mystery due to the extensive damage.
The firefighters used hose reels and other equipment to put out the flames. They also employed a ventilation fan to help clear the smoke and dampen the affected area.
