West Midlands: A dog named Comet was discovered tied to a lamp post with stab wounds. Thankfully, he’s now safe and on the lookout for a loving home.

Comet was found in December by a kind-hearted person who didn’t just walk by. They stayed with him, giving him food and blankets until help arrived. That quick thinking made all the difference.

When the RSPCA got the call, Officer Bal Dhamia rushed over. It was heartbreaking to see Comet in such pain. He was bleeding and needed urgent care.

At the RSPCA Birmingham Animal Hospital, Comet received treatment for three stab wounds. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s shown incredible strength and is now recovering at the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home in Gloucestershire.

Comet is a big, lovable guy who just wants to be loved. He thinks he’s a lapdog and loves giving kisses to everyone he meets.

Now, he’s ready for adoption and looking for a family to call his own. Animal Operations Manager, Amy, shared how resilient Comet is. He’s been through so much but still shows love and trust.

They want to find him a fresh start with a family that will cherish him. Comet deserves all the love in the world after what he’s faced.

While he waits for his forever home, he’s getting lots of love and care. The RSPCA is still investigating what happened to him.

The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home has been helping animals for over 80 years, finding homes for pets and providing care for those in need.

If you think you could give Comet the loving home he deserves, check out his profile on the charity’s website. You can also help by donating to support his care and other animals like him.
