York: Passengers are being told to stay put as Storm Eowyn rolls in. The Met Office has issued an amber warning for wind across parts of Yorkshire. This includes places like Harrogate, Leeds, and Bradford.

TransPennine Express is advising folks not to travel on routes between Manchester, Liverpool, York, and other cities due to the storm. They’re worried about delays and last-minute cancellations.

A spokesperson from TPE said safety is their top priority. They’re doing their best to keep things running, but with the storm coming, it’s best to rethink any travel plans.

The amber warning is in effect from 6 AM to 9 PM on Friday, and it could be dangerous with flying debris and big waves along the coast. There’s also a yellow warning for wind covering most of Leeds and surrounding areas.

Snow is expected too, especially in northern North Yorkshire. So, if you’re in those areas, be prepared for some wintry weather. Stay safe out there!
