Heads up, drivers! The A2 near Canterbury will have overnight closures for a month starting soon, so plan your routes accordingly.
Canterbury: Drivers, listen up! The A2 is about to get a bit tricky. Starting from February 27, there will be overnight closures for a whole month. These closures will happen from Thursday to Sunday, between 8 PM and 6 AM.
Why the hassle? National Highways is doing some essential road repairs. So, if you’re heading eastbound, you’ll need to take a detour. You’ll exit at Brenley Corner, hop onto the A299 Thanet Way, and then take the A256 to get back on track at Whitfield Roundabout.
But wait, there’s more! During the day, there will also be lane closures on the A2 from 6 AM Friday to 8 PM Sunday. And don’t forget, there will be additional work at the Brenley Corner roundabout and slip roads from March 3 to March 15, Monday to Wednesday.
Just a heads up from National Highways: closures can change at the drop of a hat. So, keep an eye out for updates to avoid getting stuck in traffic!
