Corey Beavis, a beloved figure from Barry, tragically lost his life in a motorbike accident in Thailand
Barry: A 28-year-old man from Wales has sadly passed away in a motorbike accident in Thailand. Corey Beavis, from Barry, was described by his family as a genuine person full of love. He died on Saturday, January 4.
His family shared their heartbreak, saying, “We received the devastating news that our beautiful boy lost his life in a motorcycle accident. Corey had a way of lighting up any room with his big personality and infectious laugh.”
They added, “He had so much left to give, but he lived a life beyond his wildest dreams. He was truly a loving person.”
Now, they’re facing the tough reality of bringing Corey home. They didn’t have travel or life insurance, so the costs are overwhelming. “As a family, we’ve suffered a huge loss,” they said.
Corey’s family, including his twin brother Liam, is working hard to raise funds to repatriate him. Liam mentioned to the BBC that Corey “lived life to the fullest.”
Corey was well-known in Barry, and the fundraising page has already raised nearly £13,000 in just over a day. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is also supporting the family and is in touch with Thai authorities.
