A cannabis factory worth £1m has devastated two designer homes in a quiet UK village
Fen Drayton: So, you won’t believe what happened in this quiet little village. Two fancy homes got totally wrecked by a cannabis factory worth a whopping £1 million!
These five-bedroom houses were turned into a grow-op with over 1,000 plants stuffed into 18 rooms. Can you imagine?
They even found all sorts of gear, cash, and phones when the police swooped in. It was like a scene from a movie!
And get this—two guys were found hiding in a cupboard on the top floor of one house, while two others tried to make a run for it from the other place.
Four men have been charged and are set to face court soon. Their names are Nam, Phao, Thao, and Ban, and they’re all without a fixed address.
The police got called in after locals raised concerns. It all went down on January 7.
House prices in that area are pretty steep, ranging from £300k to £760k. So, it’s a real shame to see those homes in such a state.
Colin Norden from Cambs Police said these houses looked lovely from the outside, but inside? Total chaos! Windows boarded up, holes in the walls, and wires everywhere for the cannabis setup.
He reminded everyone that growing and selling cannabis is illegal and often funds other criminal activities. The police are determined to crack down on this stuff and need the community’s help to do it.
