A beloved yoga studio in Derby and Burton has closed its doors after a decade, citing ongoing challenges in the healthcare sector.
Derby: A yoga and wellness business called Calm has shut down after ten years of service. The owners, Vanessa and Blair Davies, announced the closure to their customers, explaining it was a tough decision due to ongoing health challenges.
They shared their heartfelt message on the company’s website, saying, “After 10 incredible years of sharing yoga, wellness, and community with all of you, we are writing with heavy hearts to let you know that CALM will be closing its doors today.”
The statement emphasized the need to focus on recovery and self-care, which led to the decision to close. A professional company is now managing the closure process and will handle all related matters.
Calm opened its Derby branch in 2019, following the Burton location. They offered various wellness services, including yoga classes and massages, and were a staple in the community.
The news broke on January 20, and while the studio employed many staff members, there hasn’t been any word on what will happen to them next.
